At the International “Green City, Green University” Congress—held at the University of Tabriz with the participation of most Iranian universities, more than 700 researchers and influential scientific figures from Iran and around the world, and representatives from eight foreign countries, concurrent with the selection of Tabriz as the Asian Cities Environmental Capital 2025—the knowledge-based Mahrasl Manufacturing Group was honored as a pioneer of green industry and one of the most active industrial groups in the field of environmental responsibility.

This recognition was awarded in appreciation of Mahrasl’s continuous and systematic efforts to enhance environmental standards, reduce pollutant impacts, optimize energy consumption, and advance along the path of sustainable development. The certificate of appreciation presented at the congress emphasized Mahrasl’s prominent role in promoting environmental culture and in offering a successful model that integrates production, industry, and green management—positioning the group among the leading exemplars of green industry in the country.

According to the event organizers, the breadth and depth of Mahrasl’s activities in environmental protection and social responsibility have elevated the group to a distinguished and influential position at both provincial and national levels in the field of green industry, strengthening its status as an inspiring role model for other industrial sectors.

In recent years, alongside its industrial initiatives, Mahrasl has played an active role in environmental awareness-raising and cultural development, particularly through its engagement on occasions such as Nature Day, World Earth Day, World Soil Day, Clean Air Day, World Environment Day, and other environmental calendar events—contributing meaningfully to the promotion of environmental awareness and social responsibility.

This recognition formed part of a broader congress program that addressed key themes including environmental governance, waste management, renewable energy, air quality, urban ecosystems, and data-driven technologies in urban management.
